Error message since last night I am going to panic.

Error 102 (net::err_connection_refused): Unknown error.

I have tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE still cannot get to my email.

Updates:

On google page my email account name shows at the top.

cleared cache, cookies and used alternate forms of gmail no luck.

cleared cache, cookies, and history from all browsers. GMAIL IS BACK. Thanks all. not sure if it was all the clearing or it just is back on line.

I am also having this same problem. I've tried the HTTPS site, I've tried the basic site, and I've tried different browsers. Lucky I have another computer.

I would be very interested in the fix!!

Try using https://mail.google.com/mail/ and see if that gets you in.

@ allie2500 - what you've typed in wouldn't work: you've got a comma between www and google (should be a period!) and accounts has two c [This may just be a mistype, but as it stands that's all we have to go on.

@ Z71 4x4 - your issue may well be a redirection being stored on your PC. You need to clear cache, cookies, history files, and then restart your PC. See attached References
